Frequently Asked Questions
How much should I plan on spending for flowers?
While there is no absolute answer, usually flowers are about 10% of the cost of a wedding. For example, if you were budgeting $7,500 for your wedding, about $750 of that would probably be spent on flowers.
Should I worry about what is "in season"?
If you are concerned about cost, buying something out of season can be expensive. Some popular flowers, however, have no season. They are available all year. Roses, for example, are grown all over the world and are effectively "in season" all year.
I'm getting married in the summer. Does that affect what flowers I should use?
Definitely! It's hot here in the summertime. Some flowers, while available, don't hold up well in the heat - others, like roses, tolerate heat well. We can look up average temperatures for your wedding day and help you make an informed choice.
How far ahead of time should I order my wedding flowers?
Typically, the first item on your list should be the church or venue, because that will dictate what day you'll have your wedding. Then colors and dresses should be picked out. After that, it's time to order your flowers. The more notice you can give us, the better.
